A Perfect 6-Day Retreat at Temple Tree – Heritage, Serenity, and Warm Hospitality We spent six unforgettable days at Temple Tree Resort in Langkawi, and it was truly one of the most remarkable stays we’ve ever had. The resort’s collection of beautifully restored heritage houses transported us back in time, offering a unique blend of charm and character while still providing all the modern comforts we needed. Each house tells its own story, making the experience all the more special. The lush gardens surrounding the property created a serene and peaceful environment, perfect for relaxation. The pool area was another highlight for us—especially the pool shaded by the iconic tree from which the resort takes its name. We spent hours lounging by the water, soaking in the tranquility of the surroundings. The food at Temple Tree was absolutely delicious. Every meal at the on-site Paloh Restaurant & Bar was a treat, with flavors that perfectly captured the essence of Malaysian cuisine. The attention to detail and quality of the dishes made every dining experience memorable. What truly made our stay exceptional, however, was the staff. From the moment we arrived, we were met with genuine warmth and kindness. The team was incredibly helpful and attentive, always going above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Their dedication and friendliness made us feel right at home. Our 6-day stay at Temple Tree was a perfect balance of relaxation, cultural immersion, and outstanding hospitality. This is not just a place to stay; it’s an experience that leaves a lasting impression. We highly recommend Temple Tree to anyone visiting Langkawi and can’t wait to return!

Beautiful and unique property with its heritage buildings and peaceful surroundings. A friend I told we were going there said it wasn’t so kid-friendly, but I disagree in the case of our 1.5-year-old! The staff were very kind and welcoming, there was a cot for him to sleep in, high chairs and kids’ menu at the restaurant and a shallower section of the pool which he could walk around in independently. He also loved the resident cats! They also kindly allowed us to move rooms for a late checkout (at no extra charge), which meant that he could nap before the flight home.

Interesting historically with all houses being colonial properties taken from various sites in Malaysia. Really nice old colonial style square bar. At the quiet end of Cenang beach(15 min walk) but has a nearby good place for coffee ( Smiling Buffalo) and the sister property at Bon Ton next door has an authentic Thai restaurant. Use Grab app for taxis as local taxis much more expensive but still not too bad. Would be good for larger groups as whole houses could be booked.

Clean and spacious rooms ( we stayed in Penang 1 ) with a nice atmosphere. Excellent swimming pool / pool area. Enjoyable bar area and super breakfast. We celebrated new years eve in the hotel and enjoyed a very nice dinner with a live band. The resort has a very nice collection of fine wines. Irene, Ms.K and other personal made it a memorable stay. The hotel is conveniently close to Cenang Beach ( 2$ by taxi or a 20min walk ).

The only problem with Temple Tree is that it is too perfect with such a lovely setting, a delightful swimming pool and gardens, adorable kittens to watch and good natured staff serving good value and tasty food and drinks it is so tempting not to leave the grounds. The room are very spacious and plantation 5 have 2 large bedrooms each with a good ensuite and a sitting area for reading, chatting or watching TV.
